Last week, we were announced as the runner up, with a Highly Commended Award, in this year’s
nationwide awards for Safest Place to Work.

It was a real David and Goliath result. TToH was up against seven large corporate and government
agencies. The winner of the Safe 365 Award was Kāinga Ora Homes and Communities (formerly
Housing NZ).

The fact that TToH came in so close on their heels makes our placing even more notable.

The TToH health and safety committee, and the wellness steering group, can take a collective
bow for all their  mahi.

They have  built a workplace culture from a perspective that goes beyond simple “health and safety”, and into the realms of workplace safety and staff wellbeing.
Drawing on the creativity, innovation and kotahitanga of our staff to achieve buy-in, producing results that other organisations are now keen to emulate.
