Joint Statement from Mike Paku (Chair) and George Reedy (CEO) Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga (TToH)

It is with regret as Chair of Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga that I accept the resignation of our Kaiwhakahaere Matua (Chief Executive Officer), George Reedy.

George is taking up the Kaiwhakahaere Matua role at Te Runanganui O Ngati Porou.  He will leave us on 7 May 2021.

Te Haaro and I acknowledge the mahi that he has accomplished especially on behalf of our whānau and community.  We have experienced significant growth, strengthened our kaupapa approach, invested heavily in “Nā Māori, Mā Māori, Ki a Māori” and built a solid foundation of whānau centred service.

I know that I speak for our community, whānau, staff and providers in wishing George well in the future.

It is with sadness as Kaiwhakahaere Matua that I announce my departure to pursue new challenges.  I am proud to have been part of the ongoing journey for whānau in our Heretaunga community and know that I leave Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga in good hands and great hearts.
