Te Tū Marae ki Te Matau-a-Māui
The PGF Marae Renovation Fund was established to identify a pipeline of shovel-ready projects to support the economy during COVID-19 rebuild and was seen as a vehicle to create employment opportunities, increase skills and renovate Marae.
Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga and Te Taiwhenua o Te Whanganaui a Orotu submitted an application for the renovation of 21 Marae in Heretaunga and Ahuriri with support from Te Puni Kōkiri and Hastings District Council.
